As is typical with all my posts, please be aware there are possible spoilers.
The trailer(s) that I watched for this movie are below:
The trailer for The Founder gives away the basic story of the movie and its pretty easy to guess how the movie starts, the middle and how it ends. What it doesn’t show, and why the film is still worth watching, is the struggle of Michael Keaton’s character goes through in making this empire happen. The detail of what Ray Kroc (Michael Keaton) was thinking while trying to make a name for himself an what lengths he would go to in making a buck.
The cast ensemble did a great job of building up this sandbox for Director John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side, Saving Mr. Banks), but aside from the three main characters, Michael Keaton, Nick Offerman and John Carroll Lynch, there were no real memorable performances.
8/10 – Movie Rating (10/10 is a perfect rating)
3/10 – Trailer Rating. The trailer gives away a lot. What it doesnt give away is small details on how Michael Keaton’s character, Ray Kroc, gets from point A to B.
